PHEV's slowing down
The French EV market had more than 2.600 registrations in May, representing a 44% increase over May 2015, with the market set to surpass the 45.000 units by year end.
The EV Share is at 1,74%, a significant departure from the 1,41% of 2015.
France is known for being a stable market, with little changes in the ranking, and May confirmed that, one has to go down to the Ninth Place to see a position change, with the Kia Soul EV rising one position to #9, with the Citr�en e-Mehari doing the same in #14, but the VW e-Up! (45 units, best result in 2 years), did even better, jumping three positions to #26. May saw plug-in hybrids lose share to BEV�s, now that buyers have less fiscal incentives to buy PHEV�s. Money makes the world go round�
Looking at the brands ranking, the Ruling Force of Renault (#1 since 2011) continues to be the Master In Command, with 43%, followed at a distance by Nissan (15%) and BMW (9%).
