Automotive News Denmark June 2016 - SIBEJO-

Denmark got a bundle of Model X's late last month

Tesla Model X Lands with a bang

With 79 units registered last month, it was the best month so far this year, with the EV Share growing to  0.24%, far from the 2.29% from last year, but edging closer to the 0.29% registered in 2013.

The main culprit for this good result was the Tesla Model X, that debuted in this market with 31 units, making it the best landing month for any model in this market and even more impressively, it did so in a time that the market is in the doldrums, so much so that the American Sports-SUV-Minivan-Thingy was already the Best Selling EV in its rookie month! Will this brilliant performance have a follow-up or was it a one time thing?

Looking at the rest of the models ranking, the leader Renault Zoe also impressed, with a year best 24 unit deliveries, while the Mitsu Outlander PHEV registered 6 units, its best performance in 16 months, rising one position to #5.

Looking at Fuel Cell Vehicles, this market is one of the most important in Europe, with Hyundai registering 2 units in June, increasing the YTD numbers to 9 FCEV's delivered this year (5 Hyundai and 4 Toyota's).

Automotive News Denmark May 2016 - SIBEJO-

...Out of Hell

2016 will be a long hard road to recovery, right now, YTD sales are at 203 units,  down 80% YoY and back to levels not seen since 2013, with the EV Share diving to the current 0.22%, far from the 2.29% from last year.

Looking at the models ranking, the Renault Zoe continues to lead the table, with 55 units, followed by the Tesla Model S (42 deliveries), and the VW e-Up! (30), with the major changes being the Nissan Leaf rising to #5, while the Kia Soul EV jumped three positions to #8.

Final note to the first two registrations (In May!) of the 2015 Silver Medalist BMW i3, when in the same period last year, the bavarian hot-hatch had already 75 units...

Looking at Fuel Cell Vehicles, this market is one of the most importants in Europe, having registered 7 units delivered this year (3 Hyundai and 4 Toyota's).

Automotive News Denmark March 2016 - SIBEJO-

Long Hard Road...

Out of Hell is what this market seems destined to have in 2016, after fiscal changes that led to a sales fever in the last months of 2015, this EV market has been suffering from a prolonged hangover period, with YTD sales falling 80% regarding the same period last year.

Looking at the models ranking, the Renault Zoe has been imune to the sales slide (Actually, its sales were up 26%), leading the ranking, followed by the Tesla Model S sport-sedan-sexy-thingy, and the VW e-Up!.

Two niches unaffected by the fiscal changes were Plug-in hybrids and Fuel Cell Vehicles, the first type of vehicles saw its sales grow 46% YoY, now representing 16% of all Plug-in sales (Last year they represented just 3%), while FCEV's continue to present symbolic numbers, in total there were 5 units delivered this year (3 Hyundai and 2 Toyota's).
